Wednesday 13 Nisan. The Betrayal

Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people.  Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. They were delighted and agreed to give him money. He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present. (Luke 22:1-6)

More Than Seven Churches?

Q. I have heard many times that there were multiple churches in each of the seven churches (Philadelphia had more than one church, and more than one church in Ephesus). What is your take on this?

God Again Or Still Human?

Q. With regards to Jesus’ emptying himself of His “God-ness” when He came to earth (Phillipians 2:7), is Jesus still “emptied-out”? Or did he “refill” when he ascended to Heaven to sit at the right-hand of God?

More On Cain And Abel

Q. I am teaching Sunday school ages 5-11. I am going to teach the story of Cain and Abel but I don’t have a good understanding of it myself, or I may be going too deeply into the story.

When someone asks why Cain’s offering wasn’t accepted is there an easy way for me to explain it or do I have to go into the whole thing about blood sacrifices. I don’t want them to get more confused. What offering was God initially looking for from Cain?

Listen To The Lord!

Q.   I am battling with a few health issues and I am really fed up with being so confused about who to listen to and who not to. For instance, I have been listening to several well known teachers for the past 5 years and found many of their teachings a real blessing.  However, some people have been telling me lately that these people are false teachers and I should stop listening to them.  The bottom line is that I am EXTREMELY CONFUSED about healing.  Do I confess healing scriptures every day, do I speak to my body, or do I just trust that the Lord in His time with heal me and stop purchasing  the books and DVDs all these people put out?  Also, is it wise to meditate on healing scriptures daily?

About The Lord’s Burial

Q.  Mark 16:1 says spices were bought after the Sabbath for anointing Jesus.  Luke 23:54-56 seems to say that spices were prepared to anoint the body before the Sabbath.  If Jesus was crucified on Thursday there would be two consecutive Sabbaths where no work was allowed.  I am confused about this.  Can you help clarify it?

Israel And The New Covenant. Follow Up

Q.  Concerning your answer to the issue of Israel and the New Covenant.   Biblically speaking the New Covenant was made with the House of Israel and Judah, collectively ISRAEL.  Nowhere in the scriptures is it stated that the New Covenant was made with the Church (and I realize you never stated that it was).  Israel as a whole did not reject Jesus, it was just their leadership.  Multitudes of Jews, including priests at the time of Jesus believed in Him (Acts 6:7).  Since those early days a remnant of Jewish people have existed that honor and acknowledge  Jesus as their Messiah and live under the grace of the New Covenant.  The New Covenant is with Israel but extends to all who wish to partake.

Can We Prove It Was Moses?

Q.  Is it provable that Moses is one of the two witnesses in Revelation chapter 11?  A well-know Prophecy TV program has recently declared that Moses is one of the two witnesses.  I thought this was unprovable from Holy Scripture. What are your thoughts?
