Will We See Satan’s Defeat?

Q. Will we know when Satan and his angels are thrown out of heaven? The Bible says there will be war in heaven, will we hear or see this event happen?

A. Satan’s defeat at the hands of Michael the Archangel and his subsequent expulsion from Heaven is foretold in Rev. 12:7-9.  It will take place right at the beginning of the Great Tribulation.  Since we’ll be hidden away with the Lord in His Father’s house at the time, we’ll be in Heaven too.  It’s not clear from the Bible whether we’ll witness it or not.  In Jewish tradition a Bride and Groom were “incommunicado” during their seven day honeymoon so maybe we won’t be aware of its actual occurrence until later.
